Ban for harassing reporter

Aside from that defeat the undoubted lowlight of Pulev’s career came after victory over Dinu when he forcibly planted a kiss on a female reporter’s lips during a post-fight interview.

“Mid-interview he grabbed my face and kissed me,” said Jennifer Ravalo. “I was immediately shocked and embarrassed, and didn’t know how to respond.

“Next, I walked to the table to put my items in my backpack. He grabbed both of my buttocks and squeezed with both of his hands. Then he walked away without saying anything to me and laughed.”

Pulev was fined, suspended and ordered to take sexual harassment prevention classes.

While denying he grabbed her buttocks, Pulev did later apologise to Ravalo for the incident, saying: “I am sorry for what happened, if I could go back, of course I would not do it.

“I am temperamental, I did it from happiness and euphoria. I can tell my fans that if I had to do it again, I would not.

“I am sorry for this, but the thing is I did it with no intention of abuse.”
